IT/Data Operations Specialist

SeaSpace (1982) a dynamic leader in providing satellite remote sensing ground station. we seek a experienced hands-on IT person with Data Operations experience. 

Preferred experience include Virtual Iron based virtual system with upward of 20 virtual machines & 20TB of SAN. Virtual machines run Windows Server, Redhat & CentOS Linus servers. Functionally they serve,  email, web, ftp, security, and Linux software development. In addition up to 20 high-end Linux servers used to develop and host data for high resolution remote sensed data from various satellites.

The fit between SeaSpace and the individual:

·         Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Computer hardware, Computer operating systems, Desktop application software

·         hands on experience with Shell Scripting

·         Working Knowledge/Experience with Programming Languages is a PLUS

·         Minimum 1 year Working Knowledge/Experience with Linux, particularly RedHat; and Unix

·         Patch management and system upgrades, ensuring system integrity and security;

·         Perform hardware installations and relocations;

·         Acts a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with software and hardware;

·         Ability and willingness to work varied shifts and remain on-call for computer emergencies when required.

·         in depth knowledge of Windows Servers
