We are a Family Dental office in Poway. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Dental Team.

Ideal Candidate is:

-A passionate individual who is willing to learn to become a dental assistant while working as a sterilization staff

-High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required

-Prior experience or dental assistant certification not required

-Must have a willingness to learn and listen to feedback from the team while working in a fast-paced environment

-Must complete BLS certification and State requirement within 6 months of hire

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check treatment rooms for cleanliness and make necessary changes.
• Set up treatment room for each patient.
• Clean treatment rooms after each visit by discarding all disposable items, assembling soiled instruments and placing them in the sterilization area and cleaning treatment room surfaces with disinfectant solution.
• Presoak soiled instruments and place them in an ultrasonic cleaner tank.
• Package and load instruments into the proper sterilizer.
• Store instruments in appropriate places.
• Clean sterilizers and ultrasonic cleaner tank.
• Clean up treatment rooms at the end of the day and turn off equipment.
• Pour and trim models.
