LG Mobile has an immediate opportunity for a temporary Technical Translator in our San Diego, CA location (Scripps Ranch). The Technical Translator will be responsible for both meeting and documentation (including emails, letters, database materials, documents) translation from Korean to English and English to Korean.

The individual must be technically knowledgeable in Engineering of wireless networks and devices to ensure accurate translations.

The individual must be a leader and be willing to work with little to no management support. This position reports directly to the Director of the Development & Verification Group and must support a team of 30 engineers.

This individual will be exposed to sensitive confidential products and information that must be treated with the highest regard for security.

Due to various locations and time zone differences some late or early hours may be required.

This is a full-time temporary position for up to one year in duration.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Very timely translation of materials: database information, documents, email

• Translation of Korean to English

Qualifications:

1. Education:
BA in Languages; BS degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent work experience

2. Experience:
Technical Translation Experience Korean to English & Visa Versa 5 + years experience
Thorough knowledge of Wireless Network and Device operations 2 + years experience
Thorough knowledge of product development and system test processes 2 + years experience
Excellent communication skills
