Job Description

 

Position:  FQM (Field Quality Management) Assistant

Location:  Carlsbad, CA

Status:  Non-Exempt

Office Job/ Field Job: Field job

 

Job Summary:

Detect field quality issues through data analysis, customer meetings, and other channels; follow up field quality issues from detection to conclusion. Perform on-site defect verification and field defect re-work. Generate internal (performance, competitive information, etc.) and external (customer meeting, etc.) reports. Manage repair quality by analyzing DOA, RMA Re-Return, and Scrap data. Assist with various audits and ERP/IT troubleshooting.

 

Responsibilities:

                 Monitor, detect, and report field quality issues from the customer (VOC-Voice of Customer)

                 Complete analysis, repair, re-return data

                 Monitor Customer Web/Blog and report for driving improvement

                 Assist RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorization) and co-work with related departments

                 Manage field quality issues: report to HQ, follow up on open issues, provide status management

                 Communicate and support the customer and HQ on field quality issues

                 Support the customer’s EFFA (Early Field Failure Analysis) and FAR (Failure Analysis Report)

                 Perform on-site verification for field defect products.

                 Perform field re-work

                 Support ASC (Authorized Service Center) analysis and field quality issue work

                 Make performance report (monthly, weekly, daily, etc.)

                 Assist with customer satisfaction index management (survey, interview)

                 Gather and report competitive information

                 Obtain and analyze DOA (Defect on Arrival) data from the customer

                 Analyze RMA re-return data and provide analysis results to repair site and monitor improvement

                 RMA re-return CAR (Corrective Action Report) and F/up status

                 Operate scrap validation work

                 Make purchase order for supplies for FQM work

                 Assist with troubleshooting ERP system/IT

                 Assist with ISO audit / internal audit / CAR management

                 Comply with the company’s policies and procedures

                 Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

                 Bachelor degree – Electronic and/or Mechanical field preferred

                 Bilingual or trilingual preferred (Korean/English/Spanish)

                 0-2 Years of experience in Quality Assurance within the electronics or closely related industry

                 Flexibility in work schedule / overtime and domestic and international travel required

                 High computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office

                 Excellent written and oral communication skills
