Online Physical Activity Promotion Program – Participants Needed!

임은옥 교수 (Eun-Ok Im), PhD, MPH, RN, CNS, FAAN 와 펜실베니아 간호대학 연구팀은 한국계 미국인 중년 여성들의 온라인 신체 활동 증진 프로그램의 효율성을 알아보기 위한 연구를 진행하고자 합니다.
Eun-Ok Im, PhD, MPH, RN, CNS, FAAN and her colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania are conducting a research study to test the effectiveness of an online physical activity promotion program in improving depressive symptoms among midlife Korean Americans.

당신이 만약 40-60세 한국 여성으로 (a) 대한민국 또는 미국에서 태어났으며; (b) 부모와 조부모가 한국 후손이며; (c) 한글 또는 영어를 읽고 쓸 수 있으며; (d) 미국에 현재 거주하고 있으며; (e) 인터넷을 사용할 수 있다면 본 연구 참여 대상자 입니다.

You may be eligible to participate in this research study if you:

1)      Are Korean American women

2)       Aged 40 to 60 years whose parents and grandparents are of Korean descent,

3)      Can read and write English or Korean, who currently reside in the U.S.,

4)      Are online through computers or mobile phones

연구자료는 인터넷을 통해 2015년 7월 부터 수집될 것입니다. 자료 수집을 위한 방법에는 한국 여성을 대상으로 한 3회의 인터넷 설문조사가 포함됩니다. 무작위로 배정된 여러분의 그룹에 따라 온라인 프로그램과 fibit을 사용하도록 요구될 수도, 요구되지 않을 수도 있습니다.

Data will be collected through the Internet from July 1^st 2015.Methods for data collection include Internet surveys for three times. You will be randomly assigned to a group, depending upon the group you may be request to wear a bracelet that measures physical activity.

만약 당신이 프로그램을 사용하도록 요구되는 그룹에 배정된다면, 당신의 연구 참여는 다음과 같은 것을 포함할 것입니다: (a) 각각 30분 정도 소요되는 인터넷 설문조사에 3회 참여하여 질문들에 응답하도록 요청되며; (b) 3달 동안 온라인 프로그램을 사용하도록 요청될 것입니다. 연구 참여에 대한 보상을 받기 위한 프로그램의 최소 사용 횟수는, 첫 달 동안 10회 사용, 두 번째 달 동안 20회 사용, 그리고 세 번째 달 동안 30회 사용입니다.

If you are assigned to the group who uses the online physical activity promotion program, you will be asked to use the program for 3 months. The minimum requested number of usages of the program will be 10 times of usage per month.

만약 당신이 프로그램을 사용하지 않는 그룹에 배정된다면, 인터넷 자료들이 주어지며 각각 30분 정도 소요되는 인터넷 설문조사에 3회 참여하여 질문들에 응답하도록 요청될 것입니다.
If you are assigned to the group who is not asked to use the program, you will be asked to use Internet resources related to your daily life that have already chosen by the research team.
