Job position: Android Smartphone Test Engineer (Contract)

Location: San Diego, CA / Englewood, NJ

Android Smartphone Test Engineer - will also consider F1 OPT & H1b visa holders

The test engineer will perform various testing on Android OS based smartphones in quality management team in LG. The test engineer will follow the written test cases to verify all the functionalities of the devices and check if features are performing as designed. If any issue is found, the test engineer will generate a detailed report for R&D to analyze. Testing areas include feature testing, network testing, performance testing, and automation testing. The test engineer will support and collaborate with other engineering teams and project managers to find solutions to the issues found.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in engineering, computer science or closely related discipline

• Experience with Android OS features and various 3rd party Android applications

• Genuine interest in smart devices/wearable and willingness to learn and make improvements

• Knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with other engineers and project managers

• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to follow written test cases and written procedures

• Basic knowledge in programming
