Job Description

Growing acupuncture clinic seeks multi-tasking medical receptionist. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to grow together. We are looking for a long-term relationship with a great person.

You will split time between front office duties and assisting the acupuncturist. Job requires a great attitude greeting patients, accuracy with data entry, processing patient payments, scheduling, insurance verification, etc. Excellent customer service including competent, compassionate care required. You must be proactive, articulate, punctual, a multi-tasker and organized.

Job opens to new grads with limited experience. Previous medical receptionist/scheduling experience is plus but not necessary. Good knowledge of health insurance including HMO, PPO, and Medicare rules are plus but not necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets patients
  • Answers telephone and make calls/text message to patients with proper etiquette
  • Makes and answers emails/texts to and from patients/insurance company
  • Schedules appointments
  • Offers products, upgraded packages, and services
  • Cleans the treatment room after use
  • Checks patient’s insurance benefit
  • Checks and restocks inventory
  • Completes weekly assigned duties

  • In the process of getting/high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software application/basic IT skills

Administrative Duties:

  • Scheduling
  • Order and stocking supplies
  • Sorting and sending e-mail
  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Managing social media
  • Greeting visitors
